What is Summer Kick-Off Camp?
What better way to start summer vacation than getting outside, playing ball, and making some new friends? This was our "pandemic breaker" in 2021 and we were thrilled to have over 50 players turn out over the week. This year, we look to build on our successes and grow the game in Southern Maine. We have room for any players with a positive attitude, regardless of ability level. We'll grow our skills and use friendly competition to ensure all players learn that you can have fun and work hard! What is SMFC Futures Academy?
At Southern Maine FC we have a soccer coaching philosophy dedicated to youth development. The same way our 4-7 year-olds benefit from mastering foundational skills in the classroom, they benefit from mastering foundational skills like dribbling, changing directions, passing and shooting. This camp is designed to do that in the most creative and entertaining ways imaginable! We've had Sugar Rush racetracks, Galactic Battles, and Super Hero Showdowns to showcase our skills. Designed by our coaches with Master's degrees in Elementary Education with a purposeful pedagogy to keep kids engaged and build social skills and motor skills. What is Keepers and Strikers Camp?
Scoring a goal is one of the most thrilling events for any player during a match. Saving a goal is equally thrilling for goalkeepers. So...we decided to get players who love making saves and players who love scoring together for a week of training and putting those skills to the test! We have a great staff with collegiate and professional coaching experience. Strikers will start the day with technical work to finish with power, finesse, and cleverness. Our goalkeepers will start the day focused on the fundamentals of goalkeeping such as shot-stopping, air balls, and box management. Each day will end with small-sided games designed to maximize shots for all players. Technique and Tournament Camp

What is Technique and Tournament Camp? One of our newest creations for 2025! Technique and Tournament Camp is designed to focus on an area of specific technical work each day, which will be put on display in daily 3v3 to 5v5 Tournament Play! The smaller-sided games will maximize your touches and allow players to earn points for skills in addition to the game play. Prizes will be awarded daily for the players with the most skill points as well as for the winners of each daily tournament! Of course, we love building character so you better believe sportsmanship and compete level will be big earners too! What is LEGENDS (AKA Clash Camp)?
What started out in 2016 as a quiet, small, midsummer camp to help connect generations in our soccer community has blossomed in the most beautiful and glorious soccer camp experience. We have 150+ soccer players between the ages of 8-18 bonding through the game of soccer, skills challenges, and a team competition with International flair! A portion of the proceeds goes to KHS Soccer and the Kennebunk Clash. The event is absolutely the highlight of our summer and we appreciate the memories that are made here every summer for players and coaches. What is the Champions Camp?
If you love competing in a positive environment this is the camp for you! Every player will be placed into four "Teams" and we'll compete for everything from Soccer Tic Tac Toe to Soccer Darts! We'll also learn about the "What Drives Winning" curriculum and highlight the character skills that help drive the process. We'll learn about tactics and leadership skills. How do you handle winning? How do you handle losing? At the end of the week players will leave knowing that you don't become a Champion the moment a trophy is handed to you, you become a Champion when your character skills have the consistent development towards the next step in the process. Elite Camps
Southern Maine FC Elite Camps have been designed to consistently challenge players in a high intensity environment. Players will work on a variety of topics across the week and will look to demonstrate what they have learnt in game realistic situations.

There are no shortcuts to being fit, but Skolfield's instructors will ensure your technique in correct to maximize your returns!

We are already looking forward to planning more opportunities for our friends from the Hearts of Pine to come back and coach the kids! Thanks so much to Kemali Green, Walter Varela, and Michel-Poon Angeron for coming out last August and October. As soon as we land on schedules for summer 2026, we'll add these camps and clinics.
