Southern Maine FC soccer camps are the premier choice for young athletes looking to improve their skills, build confidence, and foster a love for the game. Located in Kennebunk at the heart of Southern Maine, our camps are designed for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Led by experienced coaches, we focus on developing technical skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork in a fun, engaging environment.

Summer Kick-Off Camp 2025

What is Summer Kick-Off Camp?
What better way to start summer vacation than getting outside, playing ball, and making some new friends? This was our "pandemic breaker" in 2021 and we were thrilled to have over 50 players turn out over the week. This year, we look to build on our successes and grow the game in Southern Maine. We have room for any players with a positive attitude, regardless of ability level. We'll grow our skills and use friendly competition to ensure all players learn that you can have fun and work hard! Location: West Kennebunk Fields, Holland Road Ages: 8-14 years Dates: June 23th-26th, 2025 Times: 9AM-3PM Rain Date: June 27th Cost: $225 for the week Kick-off the first week of summer vacation with a soccer camp designed to get us playing in as fun and energetic environment. Our professional soccer coaching staff will create and environment that blends skill development through creative games and challenges. |
Performance Camp 2025

What is Performance Camp?
Elevate your game at our Performance Soccer Camp! Designed for players ages 9-17, this camp focuses on building speed, agility, and overall athletic performance. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, participants will engage in dynamic drills and exercises led by experienced coaches to enhance their quickness, coordination, and strength on the field. Join us for an intense, fun-filled session that will take your skills to the next level! Location: West Kennebunk Fields, Holland Road Ages: 9-17 years Dates: June 30-July 3rd, 2024 Times: 9AM-12PM Cost: $180 for the week Performance Academy will get every player kick-started on their soccer fitness journey. Every player will leave the week with a workout plan and routine to follow all summer! They'll leave with new friends to train with and help hold them accountable to the program! |

Futures CAMP 2025

What is SMFC Futures Academy? At Southern Maine FC we have a soccer coaching philosophy dedicated to youth development. The same way our 4-7 year-olds benefit from mastering foundational skills in the classroom, they benefit from mastering foundational skills like dribbling, changing directions, passing and shooting. This camp is designed to do that in the most creative and entertaining ways imaginable! We've had Sugar Rush racetracks, Galactic Battles, and Super Hero Showdowns to showcase our skills. Designed by our coaches with Master's degrees in Elementary Education with a purposeful pedagogy to keep kids engaged and build social skills and motor skills. Location: West Kennebunk Fields, Holland Road Ages: 4-8 years Session I Dates: June 30th- July 3rd 2025 Session II Dates: August 4th-7th, 2025 Session III Dates: August 18th-21st, 2025 Times: 9AM-12PM Cost: $180 each week Futures Academy Camp is the perfect place for newcomers and big dreamers to grow their love of soccer. This half-day camp will engage our future SMFC stars with themed games and activities that will develop their first touch and ability to control the soccer ball. |
Technique and Tournament Camp 2025

What is Technique and Tournament Camp?
One of our newest creations for 2025! Technique and Tournament Camp is designed to focus on an area of specific technical work each day, which will be put on display in daily 3v3 to 5v5 Tournament Play! The smaller-sided games will maximize your touches and allow players to earn points for skills in addition to the game play. Prizes will be awarded daily for the players with the most skill points as well as for the winners of each daily tournament! Of course, we love building character so you better believe sportsmanship and compete level will be big earners too! Location: Kennebunk Field TBD Ages: 8-17 years Dates: July 7th-July 10th 2025 Times: 9AM-12PM Cost: $180 each week Sample Day 9-10AM Technical Skill Work (focusing on individual ball skills, with changes of direction and skill. Each day will have a specific skill such as a Cruyff turn, feints, etc.) 10-12PM 3v3 up to 5v5 Tournament play based on age based teams. We'll switch teams throughout the week so players will learn to compete and play with other players. |

Clash Camp 2025

What is Clash Camp?
What started out in 2016 as a quiet, small, midsummer camp to help connect generations in our soccer community has blossomed in the most beautiful and glorious soccer camp experience. We have 150+ soccer players between the ages of 8-18 bonding through the game of soccer, skills challenges, and a team competition with International flair! A portion of the proceeds goes to KHS Soccer and the Kennebunk Clash. The event is absolutely the highlight of our summer and we appreciate the memories that are made here every summer for players and coaches. Location: Kennebunk High School Dates: July 14th-18th, 2025 Times: 9AM-3PM Cost: $225 for the week Our BIGGEST camp every summer! Clash Camp is the ultimate celebration of soccer and community. This high-energy, fast-pace camp experience brings players of all ages together in a "Clash of Nations" where teams compete in all kinds of games and challenges for GLORY! |
Keepers and Strikers Camp

What is Keepers and Strikers Camp?
Scoring a goal is one of the most thrilling events for any player during a match. Saving a goal is equally thrilling for goalkeepers. So...we decided to get players who love making saves and players who love scoring together for a week of training and putting those skills to the test! We have a great staff with collegiate and professional coaching experience. Strikers will start the day with technical work to finish with power, finesse, and cleverness. Our goalkeepers will start the day focused on the fundamentals of goalkeeping such as shot-stopping, air balls, and box management. Each day will end with small-sided games designed to maximize shots for all players. Location: Kennebunk Fields (TBD) Session I Dates: July 21st-24th, 2025 Session II Dates: August 18th-21st, 2025 Times: 9AM-12PM Cost: $180 for the week Enter a competitive and rigorous environment where our coaching staff will focus on the technique and tactics required to be a quality striker and keeper. You'll develop habits and learn individual drills to be autonomous of your own success long after our soccer camp has come to and end! |

What is the College Camp?
Take your game to the next level at our College Soccer Camp, exclusively for high school players. This unique opportunity brings together college coaches from Saint Joseph's, Saint Anselm's, the University of Southern Maine, and the University of New England. Participants will experience high-level training, showcase their skills, and gain valuable insight into the college recruiting process. Don’t miss this chance to learn from top coaches and take a step closer to your collegiate soccer goals! Current Nashville SC coach and former Leicester City and DC United winger Steve Guppy is coming to Kennebunk! Develop your bravery and creativity in a 1v1 setting. The expertise, experience, and coaching of Steve Guppy will prepare you to be confident and dominant in any 1v1 setting. CHAMPIONS CAMP 2025

What is the Champions Camp?
If you love competing in a positive environment this is the camp for you! Every player will be placed into four "Teams" and we'll compete for everything from Soccer Tic Tac Toe to Soccer Darts! We'll also learn about the "What Drives Winning" curriculum and highlight the character skills that help drive the process. We'll learn about tactics and leadership skills. How do you handle winning? How do you handle losing? At the end of the week players will leave knowing that you don't become a Champion the moment a trophy is handed to you, you become a Champion when your character skills have the consistent development towards the next step in the process. Location: Kennebunk Fields (TBD) Ages: 8-14 years old Session Dates: August 25-28th , 2025 Times: 9-12PM Cost: $180 for the week |
LIGHTNING FINISHING Tournament NIGHT!

What is the Lightning Finishing Tournament?
Legend has it that something magical happened when Shannon and Greg Cavanaugh first started summer camps in 2016. They began the very first week of Clash Camp with 20 players. Every day, they would play the Lightning Finishing Game. The rules were simple. Shoot a ball in one-touch from beyond the 12 yard line. Score and you go to the end of the line. Miss and you become the Keeper. Get scored on as the keeper and you're eliminated! Greg dominated the games to start the week. Ruthlessly finishing. So each day, players invited more friends. By the end of the week 20 players had grown to 60! Greg was unable to hold on to his title and in desperation to maintain some glimmer of glory he tore his hamstring in 2021 and was forced into retirement. Now, Lightning has become a morning staple at SMFC camps such as Clash Camp and Kick-Off Camp. In 2025--It Lightning will be introduced in Tournament Form with a portion of the proceeds going to support the SMFC Scholarship program to help provide access to teams and camps for families in need of financial support. Location: Kennebunk High School Ages: 4 years to 99+ years Age Brackets (split into Gender): PreK/Kindergarten, Elementary 1st-3rd, Intermediate 4th-5th, Middle 6th-8th, High School 9th-12th, College (18-25years), Adult (26-50 years), Senior (50-99 years), Legend (99+ years) Tournament Date: August 25-28th , 2025 Time: 5PM-8PM Cost: $50 to enter Rules: Every age/gender group will play 4 rounds of Lightning. One Crossbar (revives everyone) for the night per group. Catch over the crossbar = Individual Revival until Final 4. Designated SMFC ball server provided and Official Lightning Referee to ensure there are NO SHENANIGANS! After 4 rounds, each winner will enter the finals. Winner of the Finals will receive a GRAND PRIZE and ETERNAL GLORY!!!!!!! This will be the most important thing that any of us will ever do. It will be life changing!!!!! |

SMFC FRIDAY FITNESS PROGRAM

What is the Friday Fitness Program?
Our Friday Fitness Program is the perfect way for athletes to have consistent strength and conditioning training throughout the Summer. The program will differentiate routines for players in Elementary, Middle, and High School. You'll be pushed to build mental and physical strength and learn to have a mentality that welcomes the uncomfortable. Every player will be provided a weekly routine and "accountabili-buddy" within the program. You'll learn ways to make fitness fun and strategies to turn working out into a video game where you find dopamine in healthy activities. This won't be easy, but neither is success. If life was easy then everyone would be successful all the time. Let's earn our successes together, every Friday! Location: Various by Week (Beach Workouts--Gooches, Weight Room Workouts-- MSK, Track Workouts--KHS) Ages: 9-17 years Dates: Fridays June-August Times: 9AM-10AM Fridays Cost: $225 for the summer Each Age group will have differentiated workouts and appropriate rigor for age. For Example, Elementary ages will learn body weight and resistance exercises in the "weight room" while Middle and High School will learn appropriate technique before adding any weights as necessary. |
